This is the second jewel purchased at MacLeod’s Bookstore, Vancouver downtown. McSweeney’s 19 in a form of a cigar box filled by replicas of war-time paraphernalia. A while ago, I learned that many soldiers collect paraphernalia from their war time in a cigar box. With that knowledge, I am not surprised that McSweeney borrowed this humble tradition to bring the nostalgia to its readers for this particular theme.

I purchased this vintage book from MacLeod’s Bookstore, Vancouver downtown. I can spend hours at that bookstore, digging through piles of books to find treasures within. So far, I found three treasures and am excited to share them with you.
